Preschoolers are like sponges – they soak up knowledge. The Abeka curriculum at Claiborne Christian Preschool was designed by early Christian childhood educators based on the principles of God’s Word. This structured program follows the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practices set forth by national accrediting associations and the Quality Star Rating System of Louisiana. We currently rate a 3 out of 5 stars set for a quality program; the first to achieve this goal in our area. Social, verbal, cognitive and physical skills are built through activities that engage children – counting out straws for milk, identifying the first letter of each child’s name, or cooperating to assemble a puzzle.
- Motor Skills Development – outdoor games, dancing, movement
- Language Development – recognizing and forming letters, story time, speech
- Imaginative Development – arts and crafts, dramatic play, story telling
- Social Development – large and small group activities, sharing, cooperation
“Child guidance should be motivated by love.” (Proverbs 3:12)

Your child moves into the Science Center where “fossils” are made by pressing objects into clay. The art center is interesting too, as we mix the colors of red and blue. I think I’ll read a book in the book center. Teacher takes time to work one on one with me and my numbers and abc’s. |
